The Confederation of Tamil Agriculture, Commerce, Industry, and Services (CTACIS) is a dynamic platform dedicated to uniting Tamil entrepreneurs, professionals, and businesses across various industries. Our mission is to create a strong business ecosystem that fosters economic growth while promoting Tamil language, heritage, education, culture and economic influence worldwide.

History and Legacy

The Confederation of Tamil Agriculture, Commerce, Industry and Services (CTACIS) was bornx from a vision to uplift and empower Tamil culture, scholarship, and enterprise. The journey began with our founder, Fr. Jegath Gaspar , who launched Sangamam-an initiative to document and support Tamil folk artists, singers, and performers. Many of these artists, once dependent on seasonal temple festivals for their livelihood, were introduced to urban audiences through professional platforms during Pongal and other festivals, with the support of government agencies.

As the cultural revival gained momentum, a parallel effort was launched to recognize and support Tamil scholars -those who had devoted their lives to researching Tamil history, culture, socio-political dynamics, and global Tamil identity. This led to the creation of SANGAM 4, a forum for scholars to present their research and connect with a global audience.

To sustain these cultural and academic initiatives, Fr. Gaspar and a network of like- minded entrepreneurs envisioned a unified platform for Tamil businesspeople. Thus, CTACIS was formed -to promote collaboration, business growth, and community support. Through a referral-based ecosystem, entrepreneurs could grow their businesses while contributing a portion of their success to Tamil arts and scholarship.

over the last decade, CTACIS -along with its sister organization THE RISE -has helped promote the works of over 100 Tamil scholars and facilitated more than Rs.800 crores in business referrals within the Tamil entrepreneur community. Our work continues to blend tradition with innovation, culture with commerce, and pride with progress
